Successful research follows a clear methodology.
When planning research including case studies, you must have and follow a clear and thorough process.
"Research is formalized curiosity. It is poking and prying with a purpose. " -Zora Neale Hurston
Steps for Creating Research
Define a clear statement of the research problem being addressed.
List convincing reasons/rational for the importance of the research problem.
Thoroughly and comprehensively review related research providing a rationale for why the research problem needs to be addressed as described and proposed.
Outline a clear statement of the procedure to be used to study the research problem – who will be studied, what information will be collected, what treatment will be administered (if appropriate), what comparisons will be made, what analysis of data will be conducted – with a convincing rationale.
Clearly report findings and limitations.
Make recommendations for further study (next steps).
Create a bibliography of cited literature relating/used in the study.
What research questions/topics do you have that need further investigation?
