Join Dr. Elizabeth Forgione, MGS Provost and Instructor, on August 9th from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm ET as she presents a synthesis of several research studies regarding the impact of PBDEs (used in a wide array of everyday products) on the neurodevelopment and cognitive development of infants, toddlers, and young children.
PBDEs were initially used as a flame retardant and are now used in the manufacturing of a wide variety of everyday products. The result is that they impact humans in a variety of ways, including being present in breast milk. The research that will be discussed focus on how these chemicals have been found to impact infants and children.
